MCC Weekly 4: Master Splinter

Holiday hubbub kept me from contributing to last week's annual sketch of Master Splinter, so I wanted to make up for it this week with a more dynamic composition.

During this drawing I was able to get my hand on a white gel pen that let me draw white lines over top of my blacks. I can't wait to put that to further use!

I also can't tell you how many time I caught myself saying "And four baby turtles..." while drawing this.

Fair Weather Sketches (Day 1)

This is the week of the Midland County Fair. The local comics shop, Collector's Corner was gracious enough to let me set up at their table to do so more sketches. 

Determining a winner depends on the adaptation. If it were Godzilla vs. The Megazard, the victor is Godzilla no question. Megazord is just a robot, it'd be like tearing into an aluminum can.

But if it was Godzilla vs Zyuranger's Daizyujin, it'd be Daizyujin no question. Godzilla is a dinosaur with "god" in his name, but Daizyujin IS a dinosaur deity.

Yeah, the Sentai is weird like that.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Premiere Party!

Once again, Barnes & Noble hosted the Michigan Comics Collective to do sketches for their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Premiere Party!

After doing so few Batman requests on the Batman Anniversary Party I was really taken aback by how many Turtles requests there were. I would have bet money on all sorts of sketches of Rocket Raccoon or Potted Plant Groot, what with the week since Guardians of the Galaxy opened.
