Brand New Me!

Since its nearly the end of the year its time to make some changes around here!

I designed this banner to work for my website, blog, Facebook and pretty much any other social media site I'm on. 

What I really wanted to do was show my work in a way that could be easily read, unlike the previous banner which was made up of thumbnails from my greatest hits. A self portrait featuring me drawing seemed like a much clearer way to show what I do. 

What a handsome fellow!

This is just one of many changes and simplifications I hope to be making towards my personal brand in the future.

Also, I made this zombie variant for Halloween! 

I got the job!

Good news! I got the job as a caricature artist at Cedar Point for the summer!

It's a position I found through Kaman's Art Shoppes.

This means I'll be moving to Sandusky OH in the next week, so I may be off the grid while I set up and start my training.

On the plus side, maybe this will finally be my chance to upgrade to a mobile device with a camera so that I can keep you all up to date via Instagram! Thats just one of many good things this job could lead to...

In the meantime, I'm off to celebrate in the tradition of my people!

All of my Christmas cards have been drawn, printed, addressed, folded, signed, stuffed, sealed and stamped! Whew! It was an endeavor that took over a month to put this whole operation together to send out these cards to at least fifty people but it was all worth it!

They'll be going out today. I will post the super secret original artwork that I used for the cover this time next week. By then, recipients on the West coast and outside the country should have received it. I do want to make sure it comes as a surprise after all!

Now that I'm done with that I think I'm going to take a weekend breather to recuperate and see if I can't brainstorm some fresh new ideas for the new year!
