Happy Halloween: Monster-Sized Post with Podcasts!

Do I have some special treats for you!

It's a double dose on podcasts this week!

Geek Fallout: The Comic Book Episodes - Super Fight Dome

Chris Lockhart, Chris Giada and myself match up fights including a supernatural showdown with Blade battling John Constantine and the Big Bra Brawl between Power Girl and She-Hulk!

Geek Fallout: Top 5 Movie Monsters
Jason Roberts, Derek Ash and myself gab about our favorite ghouls!

Many of the monsters we talked about are ones that I got to draw for the Halloween Party at Barnes & Noble with the Michigan Comics Collective.

Flyboy from "Dawn of the Dead"
Maria from "Metropolis"

Michael Myers from "Halloween"

Olaf is a homunculi given life through supernatural powers.
He probably chills with Frankenstein's Monsters on the convention circuit.

Tarman from "Return of the Living Dead"

Trash from "Return of the Living Dead"

Were-Wolverine!

Captain America takes the cake as my most frequent request

Norris Head from "John Carpenter's The Thing"

Rough sketches including the two biggest "Michaels" in horror

Reinterpretations of scenes from classic horror movies

Hope you have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Leave a comment letting me know what you liked and what you'd like to see me draw.

Now its time to start working on designing my Christmas cards. Sketch ya' later!

  1. These are all so cool Erik! I love looking at them. I also can't wait to hear these latest episodes. And your illustrations are always the best. I'm not used to seeing some of these characters from you, but I like it! That Freddy is amazing. It's always nice to see what else you come up with and I hope that you have a nice and fun filled Halloween.

Also, I am behind in replying to comments (what's new) but I will. I appreciate them so much and I can't wait for the next recording!

    1. Thanks Michael! I was really hoping for some Halloween related requests and it was a lot of fun to draw some different pop culture characters.

Freddy is probably one the sketches I'm most proud of, and I don't say that very often about my own work.

No worries about being behind. I know that I'll be busy during the month between Halloween and Christmastime so I know I'm going to be in the same boat!

    1. Thanks Brian! My only regret is that I didn't have time to do more.
It figures that I'd get the monster itch just a day before its all over and done.

  3. Guess what I got to listen to while working today... Top 5 Monster Movies! Boom. I was excited right from the get go... using a bit of that Disney Haunted Mansion music in the beginning. Enjoyed the art too! The Thing! Ugh.

Is that the Haunted Mansion music? Jason Roberts added it in post and I was just glad to have something that made me sound more professional. haha.

Thanks for your compliments on my art too!
